January 2008 - Dr. Pearl Chin has stepped down as
President of the Foresight Nanotech Institute but remains a Research
Fellow with them.
Fall 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin is being
interviewed for by The Cooper Union's alumni magazine for the Fall/Winter
edition. The Cooper Union is Dr. Chin's alma mater where she received
her Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering.
November 3-4, 2007 - Foresight Nanotech

October 26, 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin has
been invited to give a keynote dinner lecture at the
nanoUtah07 conference
in Salt Lake City, UT.
October 9-10, 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin will
be moderating a

from Motorola and IBM on near, long and visionary term applications of
nanotechnology at the
Conference sponsored by Foresight Nanotech Institute and
Society of Manufacturing Engineers on
Productive Nanosystems: Launching the Technology Roadmap in Arlington,
Virginia. Deadline for early registration is September 17, 2007.
October 5, 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin met
with a Russian delegation visiting from the International Visitor Leadership
Program of the U.S. Department of State rduring their 2 week visit to the
U.S. to study "Innovation and the Market Place: Bridging the Gap Between
Scientific Discovery and Profitable Applications".
October 3, 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin
participated as a panel member speaking about business plans to students at
her alma mater, The Cooper Union, at their very first student Cooper Union
Venture Network panel speakers series meeting.
August 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin will be
joining the Board of Directors of the
American Academy of Nanomedicine.
August 15, 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin
participated in an invitation-only
focus group
in Boston to speak about "Barriers to Commercialization of Nanotechnology"
for a report to be done by the U.S. Department of Commerce to be
submitted to Congress in September for public policy recommendations
regarding how the U.S. government can facilitate nanotechnology benefits to the American public.
June 4, 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin has just
been appointed President
of the Foresight Nanotech Institute. The
Foresight Nanotech Institute was
founded in 1986 and is the leading nanotechnology think tank in the U.S.
She will temporarily suspend writing on Nanotech Investing.
Febuary 22, 2007 -

Greenberg Traurig in Boston, MA.
Febuary 7, 2007 - Dr. Charles Brumlik,
Esq., will be speaking on "Current
Trends in Nanotechnology Investment and Technical Partnering" at the
Nano2007 Conference in Montréal, Canada.
January 19, 2007 - Dr. Pearl Chin is
starting again as monthly contributing guest writer on Nanotech Investing
for Nanotechnology Now.

Feb 2006 - Dr. Pearl Chin was
interviewed for an article on nanotechnology for Cornell Enterprise magazine.
The issue is due out this Spring. Cornell University has 4 federally
funded nanotechnology R&D centers, the most federally funded nanotechnology
centers in the U.S.

March 2005 - Professor Yuan
Tseh Lee, a 1986 Nobel Prize Winner in Chemistry agrees to join our
Advisory Board.
Feb 2005 - Article
"Accessing Venture Capital Returns for
Efficient Investing in Nanotechnology" authored by Dr. Pearl Chin is
published in the Nanotechnology Law & Business
journal, Vol. 2 Issue 1. The same article then also appears in
AltAssets, a European private equity e-newsletter put out by Almeida
Capital which is backed by the Bank of Scotland.
December 2004 - The Nanoscale Science,
Engineering, and Technology (NSET) Subcommittee of the National Science and
Technology Council's Committee on Technology has released its
2004 Strategic Plan for the
Federal R&D program in nanotechnology. This report, which was developed with
the support of the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office, updates the
original strategic plan of the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) for
the next 5 to 10 years. The document contains the vision, goals and plans
for specific activities by which the goals will be accomplished by the 22
agencies participating in the NNI. The budget for these activities was about
$1 billion in 2004.
